Why Monica, why this problem, why now
I spent 20+ years leading digital transformation, product, data and growth inside organizations like BP, ExxonMobil and NTT DATA — the kind of enterprise environments where you learn to read a technology inflection point before it shows up in the headlines. Generative AI reshaping how buyers find and trust businesses is the same pattern, moving faster.
When assistants started answering buying questions directly, I watched good businesses disappear from the conversation overnight — not because their expertise was thin, but because nothing on their site was written in a way a model could read, trust and repeat. The tools that showed up to measure this were dashboards; they tell you that you're invisible but don't fix it. So I founded Monic AI Systems to build the other half: a system that turns what a founder actually knows into machine-readable authority, publishes it, and tracks it until it comes back as a citation.
