Episode Highlights

The shift already happened
Google just had a core update that started in March and just ended April 8. It's brought AI search into Google, so it now acts just like all the large language models — Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok. The shift is happening, people are losing organic traffic, and they're struggling to understand why and how to fix it.
If you are not cited, you are invisible
If somebody goes to Google with the new update and puts in a prompt like 'top rated plumber in DC,' and that top-rated plumber exists but is not in large language models to be referenced or cited — therefore, they lose that business.
Train the web, not just the website
What I tell companies is: I train the web. We're not just going to train your website (on-page) — we're going to train the web (off-site). We go after Medium, LinkedIn, Reddit — the platforms that are pulling data into these large language models.
Real client results
Two cases. One is a remodeler. Back in November she came to me — leads were drying up... She became visible in large language models within sixty days and started getting customers from ChatGPT. The second is a hospitality lodge in Alaska... Now he has 80% share of answers on tracked prompts in ChatGPT and Perplexity and roughly 46% of all industry citations in his prompt set.
Founder voice is the asset
This podcast is a gold mine — the transcript is in real voice, the AI learns the brand from that voice, and we use the transcript to create content that gets picked up much quicker because it comes from the founder's voice.
The DIY platform
I have a platform priced very low for any small business to come in, push record inside the dashboard, and record their transcript on-site. Once the transcript ends, the system creates all thirty pieces of content right after the call.
